Uphill Farm
Uphill Farm is dedicated to raising and selling livestock and poultry that has been raised in an environmentally and animal friendly way. We are proud of the fact that we use no steroids, hormones, growth enhancers or antibiotics in our feeding program. Confinement housing is limited to a cozy hoop house for our layer hens during Michigan's frequently rugged winter weather. Broilers and turkeys are moved to clean grass daily; beef and lambs are rotated based on pasture conditions and are finished on grass. Hogs are fed corn along with their foragings for grass and soil.
We have personally tasted the difference in grassfed meats and are proud to offer these products of superior quality to our customers. Eggs from our pastured hens are available year round. Meats must be pre-ordered. We are adding a produce CSA in 2003 featuring produce raised without chemicals, and many heirloom varieties.
Availability: Broilers (processed on the farm) June through September. Turkeys: November. Beef, hogs and lambs: October through November. Please call. We will be happy to answer your questions!
