Boughan Farms & Enterprise—better known as BF&E Organics—is located in the thumb of Michigan, approximately 20 miles north of Imlay City.

Our family has been farming here since the 1950s. We started working toward our organic certification in 1992, through OCIA (Organic Crop Improvement). We have a beef cow-calf operation with registered Shorthorn cattle. The cattle are born and raised on our farm until ready for market. We also raise pastured meat chicken and chicken eggs. All of our animal products are certified organic as well as 100% pastured. They are raised in a stress--free environment the way nature intended it to be.

We will have lamb ready to market for fall of 2010. Breed of choice is the Dorper, a very hardy breed and mild tasting meat.
