SiltShield consists of a patented three-layer composition that is trenched into the ground or placed on the back of the curb. The bottom of SiltShield is either six or eight inches below the top of the curb, creating a shield to prevent contaminated stormwater runoff. SiltShield’s durability, flexibility and resistance to breaking even when under stress allow for accidental vehicle impact. SiltShield requires less maintenance than the traditional silt fence and is also reusable.
