The Mission of the Made in Michigan Movement is to utilize education, awareness and relationship-building to inspire consumers across all Michigan geographies to change purchasing behaviors to include more goods and services produced in their own state. The organization seeks to advance Michigan’s economy by driving the evolution of the state’s purchasing culture toward one that prefers locally produced goods and services above those produced elsewhere.

• The Made in Michigan Movement is dedicated to bridging gaps in Michigan’s business and consumer communities. These gaps prevent customers from knowing about Michigan-made products, inhibit local businesses from connecting with those customers, and keep Michigan businesses from working together for the common economic good.
• The Made in Michigan Movement is a direct response to demand from Michigan consumers for information about and access to Michigan-made products and services. Demand continues to grow as more Michigan residents view purchasing from local businesses as a way to support the state’s struggling economy.
